Language Mastery
Through custom-designed workshops and activity booklets, students will build their thematic vocabulary and learn advanced grammar rules, such as the rule of proximity, reported speech and conditionals, to enhance their precise language skills.
Skills and Techniques
Speaking: Students will master audience engagement and present their opinions convincingly and coherently, refining their communication skills in preparation for PSLE Orals.
Reading & Writing: Similar to the Primary 5 curriculum, students will plan stories sequentially and logically, generating story ideas relevant to the given theme or visuals. They will practise writing engaging stories with a clear structure and thoughtful use of writing techniques, such as flashbacks, foreshadowing, twists and hooks, and characterisation. They can also identify logic gaps and edit writing to improve clarity. By familiarising themselves with situational writing, students can handle different text types, such as emails, letters and reports.
Metacognition: Students will hone their metacognitive abilities and develop self-evaluation skills through error analysis, answer precision, inference and identification of logic gaps.
Contextualised Learning
Students will engage in complex themes, such as Business and Finance, Media and Entertainment, and Arts and Humanities, to contextualise their learning in the real world and raise their social awareness.
Revision and Reinforcement
Students will undergo intensive revision to cater to the PSLE examination components while keeping an eye on time management. From reinforcing grammar, synthesis and transformation rules to a recap of PSLE composition requirements and answering techniques, students will emerge confident and ready for the national exam.

Content Mastery
Students will review topics from Primary 1 to 5 and tackle new concepts such as Algebra, Circles, Speed, Solid Figures and Pie Charts. During revision, students will work on noteworthy PSLE questions as practice.
Skills and Techniques
Students will apply various heuristics to solve complex word problems involving multiple topics/concepts and non-routine problems. They will also analyse and reflect on the most efficient exam techniques to avoid errors, for example, checking answers by working backwards and evaluating them logically. In addition, students will learn to provide a clear presentation of the solutions, while effectively managing time and stress.
Revision and Reinforcement
Students will consolidate and revise key concepts and topics via concept maps, revision handouts and mock paper practices. Through quizzes and revision handouts, which include fundamentals and noteworthy exam questions, students will evaluate their content mastery.

"What sets The Learning Lab apart from the rest is none other than the content and unique programmes delivered. My teachers saw me through the stressful PSLE year and was a pivotal factor in helping me achieve an A* and A for Math and Science respectively.
The hands-on experiments we did during our Science lessons, for example the construction of circuit boards and periscopes, allowed me to understand complex concepts from a refreshing perspective. Gradually, I began looking forward to The Learning Lab lessons as they became the highlight of my week. For English, my teacher had definitely helped me build a strong foundation in grammar and sowed the seeds for the development of my vocabulary. This was facilitated through the secret notebook, (known fondly as the ‘SNB’) where we had to build up our vocabulary bank by recording new words we learnt that week and were subsequently encouraged to use them in our writing so that these words can be transferred from paper to memory. Spending an entire decade at this established institution, I can’t help but recommend it to anyone who’s overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices of tuition programmes these days."

"Just like all PSLE parents, my husband and I were anxious about our son’s PSLE preparation. We enrolled our eldest son into The Learning Lab’s English and Science programmes to give him as much support as we could in the lead-up to his PSLE.
We found that The Learning Lab’s lesson materials are good — they are relevant, have a clear structure and highlight key areas of focus — more importantly, our son found the worksheets especially useful when he was completing his revision.
Also, his teachers were very dedicated and hardworking. Throughout the preparation period, they helped him to work on areas of weakness and taught him effective exam techniques that really helped him to better understand the topics that were tested.
When we received his PSLE results on 24 November, we were overjoyed — our son achieved a PSLE score above 270 and he got an A* for all of his subjects!
Our experience with The Learning Lab has been great — all three of our children are currently enrolled with The Learning Lab. One thing we appreciate very much is the regular communication we have with their teachers. This helps us to understand how our children are doing in class and we are happy knowing they are in capable hands.
We are excited to see what lies ahead in all our sons’ journeys with The Learning Lab. For our eldest, we are looking forward to him experiencing The Learning Lab’s secondary school programmes."

"The Learning Lab is a perfect embodiment of how great companies are built on great products. Throughout the 8 years that my three children have been taking lessons at The Learning Lab, the teachers and staff have consistently delivered an excellent educational experience for them.
My eldest son, Arif, always looked forward to attending his classes! As a GEP student, he thoroughly relished how lessons are enriched with current affairs, famous personalities and interesting case studies. In his own words, “The lessons come alive”. It also helped that his teachers displayed tremendous dedication and extramural excellence, which fuelled his passion for learning. His time at The Learning Lab definitely stretched him well beyond his years, which was well reflected when he emerged as the 2nd highest PSLE scorer nationwide in 2011.
I will continue to entrust their education to TLL, as it has continually equipped my children with the tools and motivation to go further in life and succeed in their future undertakings."
