Saturday, 26 November 2016, marked a very special day for us as we celebrated the opening of our newest centre at Tampines Mall! From a ribbon-cutting ceremony to Experience Lessons for students, we had a full day of activities planned for parents and students to find out more about us and our programmes.
The Big Day
We kick started the day with an opening speech by our Chief Executive Officer, David Ellison. He shared the company’s vision for the new centre to serve as an avenue for us to better serve our TLL students in the East.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony followed, with Dave and Client Services Manager, Michelle Chen, doing the honours of officially opening the centre.
Parents and children entering our brand new centre – here’s the futuristic walkway to the classrooms!
We love the white walls and floor-to-ceiling windows in this centre.
Our curriculum specialists were at Tampines for the day to speak with parents on any questions they had on our lesson materials.
We brought a full range of lesson materials prepared for preschool and primary students so parents could get a feel of what their child will be exposed to in our lessons!
KidZania RightZKeeper, Urbano, also paid us a visit – the children loved seeing and interacting with him!
Some light refreshments were also provided for attendees of the launch before the start of the Experience Lessons in the late morning.
A range of games and activities were also prepared for children while their parents were speaking with our TLL Ambassadors and enrolment specialists. These games are also played during our regular classes, and illustrate important concepts that students are taught in lessons.
Teachers prepare quite extensively for lessons to ensure they are interactive and engaging because we believe student learn best when they’re having fun and enjoying their classes!
The first round of Experience Lessons for Kindergarten 1 and 2 students started at 11.30am, with the Experience Lessons for other levels following through the day.
While their children were in the 1-hour Experience Lesson, we held a 1-hour curriculum talk for parents. During the talk, teachers shared the key areas that would be covered in each of our core programmes (English, Math, Science) available for students at the specific academic levels.
Enrolment specialists and TLL Ambassadors were present through the day to guide parents in enrolling their children for our programmes. With the new centre at Tampines Mall, there were many more class options to choose from!
What Can Parents And Children Expect From TLL Tampines Mall?
At The Learning Lab, we aim to help students achieve beyond their academic goals, and prepare them to be world-ready. Thus, at Tampines, we will be equipped with the quality teachers, curriculum and resources and, most importantly, establish close communication with parents to keep them updated with their child’s progress. The Tampines team believes in building close and strong relationship with the parents and working hand-in-hand with them to help achieve their child’s goals.
Tampines will be promising for students, parents and, of course, our TLL staff alike!
