Interview With Our Harvard Instructors
What is your most memorable experience at Harvard University so far?
Sufia: My most memorable experience at Harvard University so far is being able to spend a summer abroad in Peru this summer - being at Harvard opens up so many opportunities and facets of learning. Overall, it has been a wonderful journey so far and I cannot wait to share more during the Ivy Summit Series.
Why did you join Harvard Student Agencies?
Emily: I joined HSA in the fall of my freshman year. Coming in, I knew that I needed to get a job immediately, but I also knew that I wanted to find a job that allowed me to feel that I was making a difference. I have always loved teaching, and I have been tutoring since middle school. I love working at HSA-I really enjoy the opportunity to get to know students on a personal level and help them find their own identity and voice.
Why did you decide to be part of The Ivy Summit Series?
Emily: When I was in high school, I spent a long time trying to figure out what college and what course of study was right for me. It wasn't an instantaneous process, and I didn't figure it out alone. I talked to adults, and I had wonderful mentors who guided me through the entire process, from choosing where I wanted to apply to ensuring that I was completing every step of the application properly. I love my university. I would like to help other students figure out what would make them happy, and give them support and advice to assist them in reaching their dreams.
Why should students enroll in The Ivy Summit Series?
Hasani: Students should enroll in the Ivy Summit Series to gain a fundamental understanding of the American College admission process as well as to further develop themselves as an individual beyond college. This is not for students who are content with where they are now, but for those seeking ways to improve themselves and to take the first step in pursuing their ambitions!
